"Karatay Mind and Intelligence Games Competition", organized by Karatay District Governorate and District Directorate of National Education with the support of Karatay Municipality, is finished. The awards to the students ranking the highest were granted with the program attended by  Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay, in the competition organized for all primary and secondary school students in the district. Mayor of Karatay Hasan Kılca, who gave a speech at the ceremony, said, "We stand by our children and youth with many projects related to education.

"Karatay Mind and Intelligence Games Competition", organized by Karatay District Governorate and District Directorate of National Education with the support of Karatay Municipality, is finished.

The competitions were held with five mind and intelligence games in primary and secondary school categories. While 140 students from 33 primary schools participated in five different games in the primary school category, 68 students from 16 secondary schools participated in 5 different games in the secondary school category.

An award ceremony was held at Karatay Celaleddin Karatay Youth Center for 30 students who ranked in different categories during the "Karatay Mind and Intelligence Games Competition".

Zafer Orhan, the Karatay District Governor, who spoke at the ceremony attended by the students ranking the highest and their families, said that it is important for students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice by taking the education out of the four walls..

District Governor Zafer Orhan said “Karatay Mind and Intelligence Games Competition has been an activity that complies with this description. I would like to thank everyone who supported and contributed to the competition and also congratulate all my students who participated in the tournament. In this competition, the important thing is not to be ranked, but to shape the future of our students by completing these stages. Needless to say, I took charge in many districts, but I have never seen a municipality that supports education and students as much as Karatay Municipality. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Mayor of Karatay, Mr. Hasan Kılca.

WE STAND BY OUR CHILDREN AND YOUTH WITH MANY OF OUR PROJECTS RELATED TO EDUCATION.

Mayor of Karatay, Hasan Kılca, started his speech by congratulating all the students who participated in the competition and ranked in it.

Mayor Hasan Kılca, who underlined that they, the Karatay Municipality, attach great importance to educational investments to train the next generations in the best manner, said; “We support all projects that will improve the quality of education in our district, and we build new training facilities that maximize the physical environment of our student sisters and brothers. The first thing we did following the March 31, 2019 elections was to lay the foundations of our three schools. In this context, we have provided our Karatay with six training facilities consisting of a total of 101 classrooms through the work we have done in the last three years. In particular, we completed the construction of our Karatay Science and Art Center (BİLSEM) and delivered it to our District Directorate of National Education. This special space consists of places where our children, who became prominent with their talents and skills, will receive education within the framework of a certain program. Our district has become one of the regions having the power of BİLSEM due to this investment. With these works, the total investment cost of which has reached TRY 35 million, we are one of the municipalities with the highest ratio of physical education investments to the budget. Nevertheless, Celalettin Karatay Youth Center was previously used as a wedding ceremony hall. We have allocated this place to our youth. We will continue to support our children and youth with the revival of our Karatay Municipality Sports Club from Karatay Summer Sports Schools and many other projects.

Finally, Sami Sağdıç, the Karatay District Director of National Education referred to the new generation of education and training systems.

Sami Sağdıç, who stated that the students no longer want to receive education within the four walls in their schools and that they want to receive an education based on the assessment of their interests and abilities said the following: “Today, at this point, we have to open new fields for our students, offer sports, arts, culture, and new opportunities to produce projects. We, the National Education community, carry out our work in this direction. This competition, which we are finalizing today, is an indicator of this. I would like to thank all our students, teachers, and everyone who contributed to the competition.”

After the speeches, Zafer Orhan, the Karatay District Governor Hasan Kılca, the Mayor of Karatay and Sami Sağdıç, the Karatay District Director of National Education presented their awards to 30 students who ranked in different categories in the "Karatay Mind and Intelligence Games Competition".
